What is CSDD?
CSDD is the Latvian government agency responsible for road traffic safety, vehicle registration and driver licenses.
On e.csdd.lv anyone can check publicly available data about any vehicle registered in Latvia for free.
How to do a CSDD check?
The check is simple and takes just a few minutes:

Visit the CSDD portal and select 'Vehicle data'
- 2Enter registration number or VIN
You can search by Latvian license plate or full VIN code

What does CSDD show?
CSDD check provides detailed information about car technical parameters and history in Latvia:

CSDD limitations - what's NOT available
While CSDD is a great starting point, it has significant limitations that can lead to expensive mistakes:
No foreign data
CSDD shows ONLY history registered in Latvia. If car was imported from Germany or Lithuania - previous history is not visible.
No accident history
CSDD doesn't show if car was in an accident, damage amount or if it was written off.
No archive photos
You can't see what the car looked like before - before possible repair or repaint.
No stolen car check
CSDD doesn't check international stolen vehicle databases.
Why CSDD alone is not enough?
Most used cars sold in Latvia are imported. This means CSDD can only show a small part of the car's real history.
